Model of evenness and stability, I waver in ways that would be humorous If they weren’t so deeply ingrained. I long for singleness of heart And persist in my duplicity. It’s as if my head is buried in the sand. Bring wholeness to these detached parts. By your Spirit, may faithfulness come to live in me In the very places where it is most absent.
